Share and Comment

This a supplemental post to my youtube video:

Sometimes it is necessary to find out what the CID or MID number is for your Android Smartphone. Thankfully, finding the CID or MID number for your Android smartphone is quite a simple process and can be accomplished within minutes.

Find the CID or MID Number

You do need to download fastboot and adb files to accomplish this task. So, first, let’s grab the required files:

Required Files to Download:

Grab Android ADT Bundle

This will be an archived package, so the first thing you want to do is to extract this folder. Once extracted, go into the folder and keep digging in until you find the “platform-tools” folder (“platform-tools” folder usually resides inside of the “sdk” folder). Once you find the “platform tools” folder, simply copy and paste the entire folder somewhere else for convenience. You can delete the entire ADT package after you have copied the “platform-tools” folder.

Required Options to Enable on your Android Smartphone

The next thing you are required to do is to go into the settings of your Android Smartphone, find “Developer Options” and turn on “USB Debugging”. This small step is different for different smartphones, so you may have to do some googling or just some digging to find the option.

For the remaining steps, follow the instructions in the video above for step-by-step guide.
