What is the name of this Mystery Smartphone?
Samsung has been working on a mystery flagship smartphone that could be a smart alternative to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and 10 Plus as well as the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus.
This secret smartphone is actually based on the Samsung Galaxy S10, and in terms of being a flagship, it sits between the Galaxy S10e and the Galaxy S10 Plus. So, it’s better than the S10e, but not as good as the Galaxy S10, even though it has a few features better than the S10. It’s called the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite. But don’t be fooled by the word “LITE”.
Keep reading for expected specs and evidence that it is real (due in December).
Here are the expected specs of Samsung Galaxy S10 LITE
So, yes, Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is in fact a real upcoming smartphone. Here are the expected specs partially leaked by a reliable leakster from Twitter (@ishanagarwal24):
- Snapdragon 855 Processor
- 8GB of RAM
- A triple rear camera (including a 48MP sensor)
- 6.7 Inch AMOLED Display
- In-display Fingerprint Sensor (which makes it a step above the S10e already)
- 4500mAh Battery
- 45 Watt Charging support like the Note 10+
So, although, it has the word “LITE” in it’s title, don’t be fooled. This is a powerful smartphone and will also include PRO features such as Samsung DEX.
The Galaxy S10 Lite has been confirmed via an FCC Filing
Not too long ago, an FCC filing has appeared in the US, filed by Samsung. The handset in this FCC filing has a model number SM-G770F which is what the Galaxy S10 Lite model number is. Below are some photos from the actual filing confirming model number and some model name.
The Galaxy S10 Lite is expected to launch in December, most likely in India. Perhaps it will also become available in other countries right after that. It could be a great alternative to the Galaxy S10e, and even the S10 because it will likely be cheaper.
