Samsung has announced a brand new smartphone known as the Galaxy XCover Pro. This is from Samsung’s rugged line of smartphones, a mid-tier smartphone, expected only to be launched in Finland for now (but could possibly spread to Europe).

Galaxy XCover Pro will be available end of January 2020 in Finland for around $550 (US Dollars). It has a punch-hole cutout on the upper left corner, a highly rugged design with built-in drop protection spec’d to military standards, as well as a removable battery which can be swapped for long adventures where battery life is important. Like the good old days, you will be able to carry spare batteries in case of emergencies. Keep reading for full specs.

Android 10 with One UI 2.0 should be standard.

Galaxy XCover Pro has modest Specs

XCover Pro has 4GB of RAM, a 6.3 Inch 1080P Display (with a hole punch for front camera), an unnamed 2Ghz octa-core CPU, and 64GB of storage with micro expansion.

Cameras include a 13-megapixel selfie shooter on the front along with 25MP main camera and a secondary 8MP camera on the rear.

This military grade smartphone will have 4050mAh of battery for a long life per single charge. Battery can be charged via the USB Type C port and the phone does have a physical fingerprint on the side like the S10e.

Phone is not expected to launch in US anytime soon, but you will be able to import it from the Nordic countries.
