On Nov 29, 2019, the legendary leakster @onleaks from Twitter showed something amazing and horrendous at the same time. He fully leaked the design of the upcoming Galaxy S11 Plus with incredible accuracy based on factory CAD images. And although the overall design is pretty striking as is expected from samsung flagship line, the rear camera design on the Galaxy S11 render was a monstrosity.

This wasn’t because of the iphone-like rectangular patch that housed all the camera lenses, rather because of the retarded placement of all the lenses inside the rectangle (see original tweet from @onleaks below)

THANKFULLY THAT WASN’T THE FINAL CAMERA LAYOUT for Galaxy S11 Plus

Since then, @onleaks has issued a correction to the camere layout by providing an updated Galaxy S11 render in a recent tweet. Looks like the original render was based on a first-stage prototype which had a weird camera layout. The new render is based on a new prototype (more likely the final design) and shows a camera module that makes sense. See his tweet below for the latest camera layout render render.

This is a welcome update, because nobody actually liked the camera module on the first render. Now, some people simply don’t like the rectangular patch design which is reminiscent of the iPhone 11 or Pixel 4, however, I think the bigger concern was definitely the fact that the lenses were all over the place, now they seem to be in a nicer grid layout with some symmetry.

We’ll keep you updated if there is more info. So far, this appears to be the final design for the Galaxy S11 Plus.
